Build this kitchen island with these simple plans. You don't need a lot of woodworking experience, you just need to take your time and do your best. I specifically made this set of plans to work with pocket hole screw joinery. This technique uses a simple and widely available jig to drill angled holes in wood and work specifically with washer head screws. You can then join pieces of wood in the same fashion as a traditional mortise and tenon with ease. With that said, you can just as easily build this project with traditional joinery or other simple forms of joinery such as dowels. This set of plans is a combination of hand drawn diagrams, measurements and a 4 page write up to help you along the way. The file is a PDF which you download and can either view it on screen or print to have in the shop. Let me know if you have any questions at thehomesteadcraftsman@gmail.com. Plans are $15.
